Implementing Dynamic Government Relations Strategies
With offices located in Washington, D.C. and Providence, Rhode Island, FS Capitol is a consulting firm specializing in federal and state government relations.
We have over 20 years of experience in planning, coordinating and implementing dynamic and agile government relations strategies for companies, trade and professional organizations and other entities in the legislative, executive and regulatory arenas at the state and federal level.
We provide our clients with focused legislative strategies to shape results and achieve their objectives. Maintaining a daily presence in the Rhode Island State House enables us to continue and enhance our close relationships with legislators, key staff and leadership in the General Assembly and key staff in the Executive Branch.
Our reputation as a well-prepared, reliable and trustworthy source of information enhances our ability to achieve results for our client. Our role as advocates requires us to shape and tailor our message for individual members, committees, caucuses and the entire House and Senate.
The principals of F/S Capitol Consulting represent or have represented several national and local corporations and trade associations during the past fifteen years. Many of our clients maintain active government relations operations in most states and several countries. We have established long-standing personal and professional relationships with in-house legislative affairs managers and with contract lobbyists and lawyers throughout the county. These relationships assist us in developing, coordinating and executing successful legislative strategies to protect our client's interests in Rhode Island.

Our Washington office is located in the heart of downtown and is in close proximity to Capitol Hill and many federal agencies. Our DC staff represents both small and large businesses, trade associations, government agencies and coalitions on federal legislative efforts. We work with members and committee staff in drafting legislation, amendments, testimony, and position papers.
Our daily interaction on Capitol Hill and in Federal agencies serves to enhance the profile and message on behalf of our clients. The Washington, DC staff has facilitated federal legislative conferences, regularly provides training for corporate executives, board members and large groups regarding federal lobbying techniques and political advocacy. The workshops include: “The Appropriations Process”; “Effectively Delivering Your Message”; “Working with Congressional Staff”; and “Establishing a Government Relations Committee."
